Chaquita

Status: Adopted
Low-key and quiet, very loving, content just to be with you, those phrases describe Chaquita perfectly. She's not hyper or rambunctious. She's the "Oh gosh, please don't go to all that bother on my account" type.

So far, she has not shown interest in the cats or the 2 foster Pekes. Her play group is quite a mixture of dogs, both males and females. Her play buddies consist of a German Shepherd, Beagle, Dogo, English Mastiff, Australian Cattle Dog, Doberman, a very mixed-breed guy, and a Shih Tzu mix. She does fine with all of them, and enjoys an occasional game of tug of war with a stick or rope toy. Her most favorite toy in the whole world is a ball. She isn't big on retrieving. She enjoys chasing, and carrying it around to show everyone her newest prize. Balls that squeak are the coolest.

Chaquita is around 4 years old. She was an owner surrender. No fault of the dog. Unfortunately, life sometimes deals people a lot of unfortunate events all at once. This is what happened to Chaquita's owner. Instead of making Chaquita suffer too, it was decided that Chaquita deserved a chance at a better life. She is patiently waiting for that better life.
